Comforting creamy pasta with sausage and parmesan. Fast, filling, and kid-approved.
Ingredients
- 12 ounce penne pasta
- 12 ounce smoked sausage
- 1 each yellow onion
- 2 clove garlic
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook pasta according to package directions.
While pasta cooks, slice sausage and dice onion.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Brown sausage.
Add onion and cook 3 minutes. Add garlic and cook 30 seconds.
Reduce heat to medium and stir in milk and parmesan. Simmer until slightly thick.
Toss with drained pasta and season to taste.
