These Southwest Seasoned Shoestring Fries turn ordinary frozen fries into a crispy, restaurant-style side with a smoky blend of cumin, chili powder, and garlic. Ready in just 20 minutes, they're the perfect companion for burgers, sandwiches, tacos, or an easy family dinner, and they're even better dipped in creamy chipotle mayo. Quick, budget-friendly, and packed with bold flavor, they'll disappear before they leave the baking sheet.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

Instructions

  1. Whisk together ½ tsp. each ground cumin, chili powder, garlic powder, and kosher salt in a large bowl.
  2. Spread 14 oz. frozen shoestring fries evenly on a large baking sheet.
  3. Bake at 450°F until browned and crispy, about 20 minutes, tossing halfway through with 1 tsp. of the spice mixture.
  4. Remove fries from oven; coat with cooking spray.
  5. Add fries to remaining spice mixture, and toss to coat.
  6. Add kosher salt to taste.
