A church-potluck favorite that's as easy as making one big sandwich. Sweet Hawaiian rolls are layered all at once with ham, melty Gouda, and a tangy maple-Dijon spread, then brushed with butter and everything seasoning and baked until golden. Build it, bake it, slice it, and watch them disappear.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 2 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon pure maple syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon flaky sea salt
  • 1 each King's Hawaiian Sweet Rolls
  • 12 slice deli ham
  • 6 slice Gouda cheese
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 teaspoon everything bagel seasoning

Instructions

Preheat oven to 375°F. Coat a 13- x 9-inch baking dish with cooking spray.

Make spread:

In a small bowl mix

  1. mayonnaise
  2. mustard
  3. maple syrup
  4. 1/4 teaspoon of salt

Make the rolls:

  1. Split the rolls horizontally with a serrated knife, without separating individual rolls.
  2. Spread the mayonnaise mixture on both cut sides of the rolls.
  3. Fold ham slices and arrange evenly on the bottom rolls; top with Gouda cheese slices.
  4. Replace the top halves of the rolls.
  5. Brush the tops with melted butter, then sprinkle with bagel seasoning and remaining salt.
  6. Transfer to the baking dish, cover with aluminum foil, and bake for 8 minutes.
  7. Remove foil and bake until cheese is melted and rolls are golden, about 5-7 minutes.
